The community has a new $25 million hospital with full time doctors and staff. There are several stores, restaurants, a bank, post office, police station, fire hall, and both elementary and high schools.
The town boasts a recreation complex with artificial ice for the hockey arena and curling. There is also a fitness center, squash courts, and bowling alley. The Town provides and maintains a seasonal, indoor swimming pool and an outdoor water slide which is at Lucky Lake Park (see photos on the Town of Watson Lake website).  Just 7 miles from town there is a well maintained 9 hole golf course called Greenways Greens. The Northern Lights Center is a facility devoted to showcase the awesome winter northern lights that the area is famous for. 

The Watson Lake airport with Community Air Radio Service has a paved runway with over 5,000 feet. The terminal is a refurbished heritage building and an operating museum of the history of aviation in the area.

The Whitehorse International airport is 4 hours away on a scenic paved road.  There are seasonal, direct, non-stop flights between Whitehorse, Yukon and Frankfurt, Germany as well as year round direct flights from Whitehorse to Vancouver, Calgary, and Kelowna in under 2 hours. 

The south-east Yukon is a wilderness paradise.  Fly in float plane trips to Nahanni National Park and numerous remote lakes offer secluded adventure.  There is road access to lots of lakes, campgrounds, and rivers for canoe and kayak trips.  Many ATV (4 wheeler) trails can be accessed from the property.  Less than 2 hours south of Watson Lake by paved road is the Liard Hotsprings as well as the Stone Mountain and Muncho Lake Parks.  These areas are famous for the scenery, wildlife, and hiking trails.

The half bathroom is just off the kitchen and there is a door to the office from the dining area.
