Nestled in the midst of Nature’s playground in central Alberta, this lovely home is situated in the quiet little hamlet of Benalto, close to the rolling foothills, the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains and pristine lakes. It is within a short distance to all amenities being only a ten-minute drive to Sylvan Lake, a beautiful and bustling Summer resort and a fifteen-minute drive to Red Deer, the third largest city in Alberta.
It was originally designed and built as a Bed & Breakfast. (3 Bedrooms, 3 Bath) It ran successfully as such for three years. A separation ended the business. It is a well appointed home with many unique features sitting on 7.5 acres of abandoned railway line, approximately 120 feet wide and half a mile long. Beautiful perennial flower beds and many trees are a feature of the front of the property while the remainder is well treed with walking trails throughout. Deer and small animals roam freely.

THE HAMLET OF BENALTO ... Benalto combines small town living with big city conveniences close by. Established about 1912 as a stop on the now defunct Alberta Central Railway, Benalto was once a thriving farming community with grain elevators and many businesses. Currently there are approximately 175 people living in the hamlet. Businesses include a general store to include the post office, convenience store items, and video rentals, a garage for repairs only, and a restaurant directly across the road from the house.
Benalto Fair and Stampede is home to one of the oldest rodeo events in Canada.  July 6th, 2017 marked the 100th rodeo.  The historic railway station is now the community centre. There are established walking trails throughout the town.
