LOCATION and POTENTIAL

Wasaga Beach is located on Georgian Bay on Lake Huron, which is one of the 5 Great Lakes in Canada. It is home to the longest freshwater beach in the world.  The town has a population of 16,000 and is one of the fastest growing communities in Ontario. Saga Resort is located within 3 walking minutes to the longest freshwater beach in the world, 14 km of sandy beach to enjoy. We are located close to the main beach, Beach Area One, where all the action happens. Bars, restaurants and many beachfront stores. Within ten walking minutes you can find about 15 restaurants, Walmart, Boston Pizza, Swiss Chalet, Burger King, and many other big box stores.

Within 2 minutes are the town offices, court, Ontario Provincial Police station and the library.

Wasaga is only 30 minutes driving away from Barrie with a population of 130,000 with university, hospitals and colleges.

Collingwood which is only 15 minutes away has a hospital, high schools, access to colleges. Collingwood has the biggest ski area in Ontario, The Blue Mountain Resort.
Saga Resort is located within 30 minutes of  4 major ski areas: Horseshoe Valley, Blue Mountains, Snow Valley and Mount St. Louis. Cross country skiing is just 5 minutes walking distance away and there you can enjoy skiing in the famous High Dunes of Wasaga Beach .
The Ontario Snowmobile Trail passes directly by our property where you have access to almost 50,000 km of interconnected trails. This is the largest snowmobile trail system in the world.

Existing Business and Expansion possibilities:

Saga Resort is open year round with the main season being from May until end of September.
The resort consists of the Main Building with 11,000 square feet, consisting of 14 units plus a manager apartment. Main office and laundry facilities are adjacent. The building was built in 2000 and was kept up to standard ever since.

The cottage court consists of 13 rental units which were built before 2000. They are well maintained and in very good shape.

There is also about 1.5 acres of development land with one cottage, pool and huge playground.
Between all cottages and the main building we have  80 beds available and a capacity for about 120 people.

Partially approved plans are also available for a new  building consisting of 12 rental units.

The property is ideal for a franchised motel/hotel. It is also ideal for a condominium complex overlooking Georgian Bay.
